Once you've got your blog on the subject up and running, contributing valuable, authoratative, and relevant information that your customer just can't live without, on a consistent basis, is a sure-fire way to inspire others back to your blog. Remember one important thing: be helpful, not salesy. Always edify others and give credit where credit is due (if you've “liberated” content from someone else's site).

Don't be afraid to link back to others. (And search engines love links!) You're there to be helpful, and most of all, authentic. A truism that I've always found accurate is “when the marketers move in, the members move out.”
